This summer anyone who had been walking along the streets of Berlin had the opportunity to see how letters successfully got the message across even they were not in its classical shape: two-dimensional and printed on paper as a part of a word. The exhibition “The ABC of Pictures”, at which letter’s construction were placed on the building-symbols of Berlin, represented as the answer of “The Berlin National Museum” to the year of humanity with theme of “ABC of Humanity”. The letter “D”, as a symbol of Democracy, was placed on the House of Parliament; similar to that one the letter “Z” like future (future in German: Zukunft) was placed on the building of the Federal Ministry of Education whereas the letter “E” like the Europe found its place on the building of Foreign Affairs. Logically enough, “K” like communication was attached on the media building and “V” like Visionary was attached on the Building of Humboldt University Berlin. However, the observers were forced to find the sense of, at the first sight, white abstract forms on al of those buildings. The enormous letters (26 m high) were projected on the facade of the buildings following its shape so that the observer could see what was that about only if he stood on the point from where the white stripes joined together in perspective and gave out the form of a letter. Once again it was shown that things can change if we look from the other angle.

This unusual exhibition took place from July till October 2007.
